Turkey’s February pig iron imports down by 61% m-o-m

According to statistics released by Turkish customs, the country’s pig iron imports totaled 67,843 tons in February, decreasing by 61% from January and declining by 40.6% year on year.
In the first two months of this year, Turkey’s imports of pig iron amounted to 242,986 tons, rising by 19.4% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the country’s pig iron imports from Ukraine were 169,633 tons and that from Russia was 60,228 tons.
