Rebar prices expected to rise in Taiwanese market next week
|
Though rebar prices remained flat NT$20,300/ton in Taiwanese marker this week, industry sources forecasted the rebar prices would rise in next week, driven by 30% rise in electricity charges.
Feng Hsin, one of the major rebar producers in Taiwan postponed releasing its rebar prices for this week as it’s difficulty to calculate costs due to rise in electricity charges.
Thus, the rebar prices remained unchanged at NT$20,300~NT$20,400/ton in Taiwanese market this week.
For next week, industry sources predicted that the rebar prices may have chances to surge by NT$200/ton NT$20,500~NT$20,600/ton.
