100 million tons of new iron ore reserves found in China's western Jiangxi Province

According to data released from the Western Jiangxi Geological Survey Party (WJGSP) of the Geology and Mining Bureau of Jiangxi Province in China, total proven iron ore reserves found in the western Jiangxi Province including Jinxi mine, Taiping Mountain deposit and Song Mountain mine in 2011 reached 100 million tons, which values an estimated annual output of RMB 80 million.
The WJGSP made an accumulated drilling depth of more than 60,000 meters in the area and discovered reserves of 40 million tons at Jinxi mine and a combined total of 60 million tons from Taiping Mountain deposit and Song Mountain mine.
