Brazilian CSN’s Q4 profit surges by 85%

According to report, Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) posted an 81% rise in net profit for the Q4 on higher sales of iron ore and steel flat products even the costs rose.
The company realized the Q4 net profits of BRL817 million, much higher than BRL450 million in the same quarter of a year ago while declined from BRL1.097 billion in a quarter earlier.
The net revenue also increased by 21% to BRL4.167 billion. Sales in steel contributed about 56% in total revenue; mining revenue was about 39%.
