Poland’s domestic steel consumption to rise by 11% in 2011

According to report of Polish Steel Association (HIPH), it estimated that Poland’s steel consumption would be at 11 million tons in 2011, rising by 11% year on year.
Also, HIPH predicted that the country’s steel consumption would increase by 5.5% to reach 11.6 million tons in 2012.
Meanwhile, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.31% in 2011, higher than 3.75% in 2010, according to the country’s Central Statistical Office.
