World's crude steel output falls by 7.8% in January
|
In January, the world’s total crude steel output dropped by 7.8% to 117 million tons, citing the big fall of China’s production, according to World Steel’s report on Wednesday.
It’s analyzed that the main reason for the drop came from China’s 13% output shrink in January.
The country is considered to the largest steelmaker with 52.1 million tons. This figure in January, 2011 was 60 million tons.
According to World Steel, the world’s steel capacity operation rate of 59 countries in January increased slightly to 71.3% from 70.8% in last December.
