Tokyo Steel hikes scrap purchase prices again
|
Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to hike the scrap purchase prices at its five works by¥500~¥1,000/ton averagely on February 21st.
The company decided to raise the scrap purchase by ¥500/ton at Utsunomiya plant and increase the prices by ¥1,000/ton at the other four firms.
After the adjustment, the company’s latest H2 scrap purchase prices are at ¥31,000~¥32,000/ton.
Among them, the H2 scrap purchase prices in Okayama plant is at ¥32,000/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ¥32,000/ton; that in Takamatsu plant is at ¥31,000/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ¥32,000/ton and that in Utsunomiya plant is at ¥32,000/ton.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel has hiked the scrap purchase prices for three times in February and the total price rise has reached ¥1,500~¥2,000/ton.
