Tokyo Steel hikes scrap purchase prices again
|
Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to hike the scrap purchase prices at its five works by￥500~￥1,000/ton averagely on February 21st.
The company decided to raise the scrap purchase by ￥500/ton at Utsunomiya plant and increase the prices by ￥1,000/ton at the other four firms.
After the adjustment, the company’s latest H2 scrap purchase prices are at ￥31,000~￥32,000/ton.
Among them, the H2 scrap purchase prices in Okayama plant is at ￥32,000/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ￥32,000/ton; that in Takamatsu plant is at ￥31,000/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ￥32,000/ton and that in Utsunomiya plant is at ￥32,000/ton.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel has hiked the scrap purchase prices for three times in February and the total price rise has reached ￥1,500~￥2,000/ton.
