CSC may remain March list prices of EF Al-killed wire rod flat

China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest steelmaker in Taiwan is going to release March list prices for electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rod.
Industry sources indicated that CSC might keep March list prices of EF Al-killed wire rod unchanged due to weak performance of downstream small screw makers in overseas markets, despite of firm iron ore prices and higher steel prices in international markets.
Meanwhile, it’s known that CSC’s list prices of EF Al-killed wire rod had ever surged to NT$27,000/ton last year; however, the company cut the list prices by NT$1,000/ton for last September and December respectively.
After that, CSC remained the list prices of EF Al-killed wire rod unchanged for this January and February. The current list prices are at NT$25,000/ton.
