Japan’s 2011 stainless steel plate exports down by 6.2%

According to the statistics released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Japan exported 55,235 tons of stainless steel plate in last December, down by 33.5% year on year.
In 2011, Japan’s stainless steel plate exports totaled 869,565 tons, down by 6.2% in comparison of that in a year earlier.
Among them, 211,988 tons were exported to China, rising by 9.3%; 188,971 tons were to South Korea, remaining flat, both compared to that in the same period of a year earlier.
