Turkey’s imports of ferro-alloy increase by 15% in first eleven months of 2011

According to data of Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported 401,361 tons of ferro-alloy in the first eleven months of 2011, increasing by 15% year on year, driven by the strong output of the local steel mills.
Among them, Ukraine was the largest supplier of ferro-alloy to Turkey which exported 10,045 tons.
In last November, Turkey’s imports of ferro-alloy totaled 28,672 tons, dropping by 8% in comparison of that in the same period of a year before.
