Ukraine’s crude steel output up slightly in February
|
According to Metallurgprom, Ukraine produced 2.79 million tons of crude steel in February, 2012, up by 1.1% from last December.
Meanwhile, Metallurgprom predicted that Ukraine’s output of pig iron and rolled steel would be at 2.35 million tons and 2.5 million tons respectively in this February.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s production of finished steel products increased by 3% to reach 31.677 million tons in 2011; that of crudes steel surged by 6% to reach 34.689 million tons and that of pig iron rose by 6% to 28.879 million tons.
In last December, Ukraine produced 2.55 million tons of finished steel products, decreasing by 3.1% from a month earlier and its production of crude steel and pig iron dropped by 4.1% and 1.9% month on month to 2.759 million tons and 2.374 million tons respectively.
