AK Steel to pour US$60 million to develop new coal mines

It’s reported that AK Steel planned to pour US$60 million to develop new coal mines in southwestern Pennsylvania during 2013 and 2015 through a company that it acquired in October
Mr. Alan McCoy, the spokesman of AK Steel said that the company has been developing a mining plan after acquiring Solar Fuel Inc. of Friedens, Somerset County.
Also, he indicated that a company under AK Coal Resources will approach the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to seek for the mining permits, which is expected to take around 18 months.
