Japanese Tokyo Steel cuts prices of all steel products for December
|
It’s reported that Tokyo Steel announced that the company has reduced the list prices of the whole steel products by ¥5,000/ton for domestic sales in December 2011.
This adjustment has across the board for two consecutive months, leading to a markdown of ¥10,000/ton.
After the adjustment, the firm’s prices of H beams are at ¥71,000/ton; that if deformed bars is at ¥53,000/ton and that of heavy plates is at ¥66,000/ton.
Kiyoshi Imamura, director & GM of marketing at Tokyo Steel said the company decided to cut prices for December since Japanese domestic market has faced strong pressure from imported products.
