Taiwanese Chung Hung Steel starts construction of new pipe plants

Chung Hung Steel, the subsidiary of Taiwan's China Steel Corp. (CSC) has started the construction of its new pipe plant since November 17th in Chang-Pin industrial zone.
The total investment amount of this new plant is about NT$3.068 billion.
The new steel pipe plant will be able to produce high value-add API pipes from 2 inch to 16 inch outside diameter and its design capacity is 200,000 tons per year.
Meanwhile, the construction of the new plant is expected to be completed in the end of February, 2012.
