Japan's Kobe Steel to launch high performance titanium sheets

Japan's Kobe Steel announced recently that the company has developed two types of high performance titanium sheets including pre-coated titanium sheets and high heat transfer titanium sheets.
The products will be applied to plate heat exchangers industry for uses in ships and factories respectively. The new products are scheduled to introduce in October of 2011.
In Japan, that total shipments of titanium products were about 15,610 tons in fiscal year 2010 ending in March, 2011. About 75% of the sheets for plate heat exchangers are exported to foreign markets.
