Posco plans to enhance wire rod quality in October
|
It’s reported that Posco, the largest steelmaker in South Korea planned to improve its wire rods quality in October.
The company will adapt new soaking pit which can improve the product quality of its wire rods without reducing its production volumes.
Posco planned to arrange the test run by the end of September and it expected to begin the production in October.
The company said that their current two plants of reheating furnaces of the billet mill have faced a problem of excessive carbon concentration when producing high carbon alloy steel, which could lead to fatigue cracks in wire rods.
