Taiwan’s H2 screw exports may decline on US debt crisis

Its’ reported that Taiwan’s screw exports might decline further in the second half of this year due to the US debt crisis.
In fact, Taiwanese screw exports to the US were not as good as expected in the first half of this year.
According to data, Taiwan exported 260 thousand tons of screws in the first half of this year, up by 6.14% year on year. However, the growth rate was still lower than 15.61% in the whole 2010.
Taiwanese screw indicated that the screw exports to the US have remained weak since the global economy crisis in 2008 due to sluggish demand.
For the prospect, Taiwanese steel industry has worries about the fact that the screw exports to the US may slide again due to the concern on the US debt credit.
