Turkish Kardemir’s H1 net profits surge substantially by 130% y-o-y
|
Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir), a steel long product maker in Turkey currently announced its financial results of the first half of this year.
The company realized consolidated profit of YTL97.93 million in the first half of this year, surged substantially by 130.12% in comparison of YTL42.55 million in the same period of last year.
At the same time, the company’s sales revenue reached YTL 19.59 million, hiked by 47.2% year on year.
Meanwhile, Kardemir’s production of metallurgical coke totaled 357,100 tons in the first six months of this year, down by 2.9%; that of crude steel output was 569,888 tons, down by 12%; that of pig iron was 21,282 tons, dropped by 37.6%; that of billet was 426,079 tons, decreased by 10.7%, all compared to that in the same period of last year.
