Northwest Pipe Company’s Q1 sales margin soars substantially

Northwest Pipe Company, a leading pipe maker in Vancouver, reported that its sales margin in the Q1 totaled US$3.6 million, soaring by triple from a year ago. Meanwhile, its sales revenue also increased sharply by 38.7% to US$111.5 million in Q1of 2011.
Among them, the sales revenues of water transmission pipelines and tubing products increased by 11.3% and 90.9% respectively from the same period of last year.
Moreover, the company indicated that the demand for energy pipes has been rising, driven by the increasing drilling projects on the operation of natural gas and petroleum.
