Taiwan's stainless steel mills mulling price hike

LME nickel price has averaged over US$22000/ton in September, which encourages the buying for stainless steel as the stocks of stainless steel is at a low level.
The stainless steel mills in Taiwan are expected to adjust up their list prices by NT$3,000~4,000/ton for the second half of September.
During last season, the dealers of stainless steel keeps a very low level of stocks in order to face the low demands from users, and the nickel price is also at a low point.
There is some re-stocking taking place, said a trader.
