China's nickel consumption falls in July
|
According to the latest statistics, China’s nickel consumption slid in July in response to slowing stainless steel demand. Meanwhile, as stainless steel demand dropped, nickel price kept falling in China’s spot market.
The July’s production of 300 and 200 series stainless steel dropped by about 35,000 tons and 39,000 tons respectively compared to that of June.
The stainless steel production is expected to fall in August due to ongoing maintenance works of some stainless mills.
