Russia’s stainless steel import, export drop in 2009

It is reported that in 2009 year, stainless steel products imported to Russia has fallen by 38.7 percent year-over-year in quantity, while export from Russia has decreased by 39.2 percent year-over-year in quantity.
According to the data revealed by Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), main stainless steel products imported to Russia reached 109,600 tons, or US$388.57 in amount.
The major stainless steel products shares of flat products, welded tubes, longs and left items are respectively 60.7 percent, 16.7 percent, 11.6 percent, and 11 percent.
