South Korea and Taiwan lift stainless steel prices to China
|
It’s reported that South Korean and Taiwanese stainless steel producers hiked their export price to China. The price increased officially by about US$150~300/ton compared with that in earlier 2010. However, the actual price is said to fall by only US$50~100/ton due to weak local demand and nickel price slide.
On the other hand, stainless steel price remained unchanged in South Korea. The local stainless steel cold rolled product was prevailed at KRW 3.45 million/ ton, and the import source was quoted at lower price, about KRW 3.4 million/ ton.
