Ruukki to buy 85% share of Mogale
|
It is reported that Ruukki SA, the subsidiary company of Finland Ruukki will buy 84.9 percent share of ferrochrome producer Mogale Alloys, for US$174 million. This movement intends to help Ruukki extend the market of South Africa. The factory of Mogale is located in South Africa Mogale near Johannesburg, which has 4 furnace of 96MVA and mainly produces silicon and manganese. Besides, Mogale is the major area of mining industry and it will make Ruukki purchase the related mining and alloy such as chromium and platinum.
