Japan’s scrap exports up by 85.7% in April
|
Japan exported 1.06 million tons of scrap in April, a 85.7 percent up year-on-year. Among them, 526,000 tons were shipped to China, occupied 49.3 percent of the whole volume; 427,000 tons were shipped to Korea, 26.5 percent of the whole volume; and 69,000 tons were shipped to Taiwan. Japan exported 3.44 million tons of scrap in the first four months, a 55.3 percent up year-on-year, among them, 2.18 million tons were shipped to China, 63.4 percent of the whole volume; 1.05 million tons were shipped to Korea, 30.7 percent of the whole volume with 2 percent drop year-on-year.
