Suraj Stainless to expand pipe and tube capacity

India’s stainless seamless pipe producer, Suraj Stainless Ltd intends to enlarge its capacity to 26,000 tpy from 12,000 tpy, in a bid to meet the increased demand of stainless steel pipes and tubes.
The company will spend US$17.4 million building its fourth facility at Kadi. The new project is to add another 40 production lines from original 20 lines.
Suraj also produces 8,000 tons of welded pipes annually. The company has its turnover rate of RS$2.8 billion during 2007-2008.
Suraj sells its products to India and exports to around 53 countries.
