US stainless imports down in November
|
According to the preliminary data issued by US Census Bureau, US stainless steel imports dropped from 75,300 tons in October to 73,725 tons in November, a 2 percent down. And it showed a 22 percent drop year-on-year, compared to last year’s 94,270 tons.
The cold-rolled stainless sheet import dropped from 20,900 tons in November 2006 to 32,100 tons, a 35 percent drop from a year earlier, and a 1 percent drop compared to last month’s 20,900 tons.
Semi-finished imports volume in November was 9,770 tons, showing a 25 percent up compared to October’s 7,800 tons, and a 34 percent up year-on-year.
