US stainless export keep increasing
|
According to the data issued by the US Census, US export 45,540 short tons stainless steel in October, a 17 percent up compared to last month’s 39,050 short tons, and a 42 percent up year-on-year compared to last year’s 32,000 short tons. Most of them are cold rolled sheet, cold rolled strip and discrete plate.
Among them, US exported 13,075 short tons of cold rolled sheet, a 7 percent up compared to last month, and a 14 percent up year-on-year. With the majority exported to other Nafta countries, Belgium and Spain.
The export volume for cold rolled strip was 6,260 short tons, showing a 26 percent up compared to September’s 4,950 short tons while a 11 percent drop year-on-year.
