Yusco plans to rise price for November
|
All stainless steel mills experienced profit shrinks due to the dramatic nickel price fall since May this year.
Currently, nickel price stays stable at US$31,000/mt. In considering of high production cost, Taiwan’s Yieh United Steel Co. (Yusco) is very likely to raise price this week. The expectedly lifted range is between NT$5,000/ton to NT$8,000/ton. According to the average nickel price in October, the actual increase should be less.
But the demand is not strong enough, some domestic buyers think price of NT$5,000~8,000/ton is reasonable. According to the market feedback, a raise of NT$5,000/ton can be the most acceptable price adjusted level.
