European steelmakers raise stainless alloy surcharge for July
|
Main European stainless steel markers have increased alloy surcharges on austenitic stainless steel for July deliveries.
Take grade 304 material for example, Ugine & ALZ raised its surcharge by €168 ton to €3,376 per ton. ThyssenKrupp increased its surcharge by €180 per ton to €3,365 per ton. and Outokumpu raised its surcharge by €163 ton to €3,326 per ton.
Steelworks raised their surcharges due to high nickel prices, even though the current nickel price was dropped a lot.
