World crude steel production up in April
|
According to figures released by the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI), global crude steel production reached 109.3 million tons in April 2007, an increase of 7.6 percent on yearly basis.
Among the 67 countries feeding back to the organization, China was regarded as the main player behind the increase.
China’s crude steel output reached 40.3 million tons in April, which is an increase of 16.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
