China to expand stainless export to Europe
|
Chinese stainless steel producers and exporters are keen on expanding the exportation of stainless steel to Europe market due to the recent strong demand in that area. In September, the total export volume of cold rolled stainless steel reached 61,011 tons which is the 15 times of same period of last year. With the establishment of some stainless steel joint venture in China, both the capacity and quality were promoted during past years. According to statistics, the total capacity of stainless steel in 2006 will probably reach 5.6 million tons, increasing 40% compared with last year. On the other hand, the quality is gradually accepted by European and other overseas buyers as well. (Nov. 9)
