Nisshin Steel’s annual output expected to rise 7%
|
Due to the impact of imported stainless steel from China and South Korea, Nisshin Steel cut their stainless steel sheet output by 60 percent over the past 18 months. As the demand and price in the Asian market is increasing, Nisshin has again started to increase their production at the beginning of this year. The production output during the first half of this year was up to 500,000 tons and it is expected that production for the second half of the year will be around 550,000 million tons. It is expected that full year production will be around 1.05 million tons, 7 percent higher than last year. (Nov. 3)
