Korean pipe exports up 21.6% for September
|
According to the latest statistics issued by the Korean Iron and Steel Association, South Korean steel mills exported 82,400 metric tons of steel pipes last month. Hat is an increase of 21.6 percent compared to August. From January to September the total volume of pipe and tube exports were 720,200 mt, showing a 4.5 percent rise compared to the same period of last year. During the period they exported 6, 600 mt to China, 37,300 mt to the USA, 16,400 mt to Southeast Asian countries and 4, 400 mt to the Japanese market. (Oct. 26)
